Picture
A King cobra snake can lay up to 40 eggs. Female king cobras usually build nests by pulling lose vegetation into a mound. Then she wraps herself around the eggs. She wraps herself around her eggs to protect them not to warm them up. Snakes are cold blooded so they can not do that. She does that for awhile till she goes away before the eggs hatch. She does this because she has been fasting for two months. People think she does this because if she don't, she will want to eat her young. When the hatchlings' come out the have just as much venom as their parents.
